45-60 minutes
For pianos that have been recently tuned and have been well-maintained, the standard piano tuning helps keep your piano in optimal condition. As the piano is played and the seasons change, the strings gradually lose their tension, leading to lower pitch and a duller tone. It is recommended that pianos are tuned at least once a year to preserve its brilliant tone and maintain a balanced sound.

60-90 minutes
For pianos that haven’t been tuned in several years and are more than 10% away from pitch, a proper tuning requires two steps: a full-range pitch adjustment, followed by a standard piano tuning.
After a piano has been pitch adjusted and fine tuned, it can usually be maintained through annual standard tunings.

Unsure of what service your piano needs? Through a video or phone call, I can listen to the pitch of your piano and determine whether it is close enough for a standard piano tuning or whether it requires a pitch adjustment. At the end of the call, you will receive a quote that guarantees the price and service for an appointment within 30 days of the consultation.
My primary service area is Idaho Falls and surrounding areas. Anything that is more than a 30-minute drive will incur a travel fee of $15 per half-hour (doesn’t apply to traffic delays)
